Information Collected Automatically:
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. This includes pages visited, time on site, device type, and general location (city/region level). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information.
- Microsoft Clarity: We use Clarity to analyze user experience through session recordings and heatmaps. This helps us improve website usability. Clarity may record mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior.
- Cloudflare: Our website uses Cloudflare for security and performance. Cloudflare may log IP addresses to protect against malicious traffic.

Mobile App (iOS and Android)
The Esper Electric mobile app is an internal tool for Esper Electric employees only. Access requires company-issued credentials.
Information We Collect
Account Information:
- Login credentials (username/password) provided by Esper Electric
- Your account is created and managed by Esper Electric HR/IT
Device Information:
- Push notification token (via OneSignal) to deliver work-related notifications
Camera Access:
- Used for barcode scanning functionality
- Photos are not stored unless you upload them for work order documentation
File/Storage Access:
- Used to upload images related to work orders
- Uploaded files are stored on secure Esper Electric servers
How We Use App Information
- Authenticating employee access to company systems
- Delivering work-related push notifications
- Enabling barcode scanning for equipment tracking
- Allowing photo uploads for work order documentation
Third-Party Services (App)
- OneSignal: Push notifications only
SMS / Text Messaging
Esper Electric, Ltd. operates a private SMS text-messaging program for its own employees only, used to send automated time-entry reminders. Employees opt in by one of two methods, both documented publicly with screenshots at https://app.esperelectric.com/sms-consent:
- By toggling “SMS Time-Entry Reminders” to ON inside their own Esper Electric mobile app under Settings → Text Message (SMS) Notifications, where an on-screen consent disclosure is displayed.
- Via HR-mediated opt-in during onboarding, in which HR explains the program and confirms verbal consent before setting the “Text Message Notification” preference to “Opt-in” on the employee’s record.
Opted-in employees may receive up to 2 messages per weekday (a reminder and a lockout notice) on days they have not submitted their daily time entry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in / consent data are used solely to deliver the messages described above and are not sold, rented, or shared with any third party for any other purpose. The only third party that processes these messages is our SMS delivery provider (Twilio), and only to the extent technically necessary to transmit the message to the recipient’s carrier.

General Provisions
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. As stated in the SMS section above, mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing.
Information may be shared with:
- Service providers who assist our operations (analytics, hosting, SMS delivery)
- Law enforcement when required by law
Data Security
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures
Data Retention
- Website: Contact form submissions are retained as needed for business purposes
- Mobile App: Employee data is retained for the duration of employment
- SMS Program: Mobile phone numbers and opt-in status are retained for the duration of employment; opt-out events are retained as a compliance record
Your Rights
You may:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and business retention requirements)
- Opt out of analytics tracking via browser settings or cookie preferences
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time (see SMS section above)
Children’s Privacy
Our website and applications are not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age.
